Australia funfacts

1. the "pound key" on a phone is called the "hash key".
2. it is very normal for people to drink mixed drinks that come right out of a can (rum and coke , gin and tonic, etc...). And people actually drink Smirnoff ice!
3. you can get rum and coke on draft!!! that's right - like a beer. I have yet to try it for obvious reasons. But I will!
4. it is possible to get a $4,000 internet bill.
5. puma (pronounced "poo ma" in the states) is pronounced "Pewww ma". like pubic. ewww. And they think it's funny that we pronounce duty like "doodie".


hahhaa, doodie.
6. The don't have a once cent piece like in the US. The smallest coin they have is 5cents. So the total bill is rounded. coins are 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1, and $2. The $2 coin is the smaller than the 50c piece, which is the largest.
